At Buy Gown, we aim to provide a seamless and reliable shipping experience for both our buyers and sellers. Our Shipping Policy outlines the responsibilities and expectations for all parties involved to ensure that every transaction is handled with care and efficiency.
1. General Shipping Overview
Shipping Carrier: Buy Gown partners with trusted shipping carriers to provide insured and secure delivery for all items.
Shipping Destinations: We ship to most locations domestically within the United States. International shipping options may vary depending on the item and seller’s location.
Processing Time: Sellers are required to ship items within 3 business days of receiving confirmation of the sale. In cases where this cannot be met, the seller must communicate the delay immediately.
Estimated Delivery Times: Delivery times depend on the shipping carrier and the destination. Buyers will receive tracking information to monitor their shipment.
2. Shipping Fees
Buyer’s Responsibility: Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and are based on the size, weight, and destination of the package. These fees are non-refundable, except in cases of error on Buy Gown’s part.
Seller’s Responsibility: Sellers are responsible for packaging their items securely and accurately weighing them for shipment. In some cases, Buy Gown may provide pre-paid shipping labels, with the cost deducted from the seller’s payout.
3. Packaging Guidelines
Sustainable Packaging: At Buy Gown, we encourage sellers to use environmentally-friendly packaging where possible, without compromising the protection of the items.
Secure Packaging: Luxury gowns require special care in packaging to ensure they are delivered in pristine condition. Sellers must use protective materials, such as garment bags and padded boxes, to avoid damage during transit.
4. Insurance and Liability
Shipping Insurance: All items shipped through Buy Gown are insured for their full value, providing protection in the event of loss or damage during transit. Both buyers and sellers are covered under this policy to ensure peace of mind during the shipping process. If an item is lost or damaged, the affected party should notify Buy Gown immediately to initiate a claim with the shipping carrier.
Seller’s Liability: Sellers are responsible for ensuring the item is in the described condition before shipping and is adequately packaged. Failure to do so may result in claims against the seller for any damages that occur during transit.
5. Tracking Information
Real-Time Tracking: Once the item is shipped, buyers will receive a tracking number via email to monitor the shipment. Tracking details can also be found in the buyer's account dashboard.
Delayed Shipments: If the shipment is delayed, buyers will be notified via email with updated delivery estimates.
6. International Shipping (If Applicable)
Customs and Duties: International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees incurred during shipping. These are not included in the shipping cost and must be paid by the buyer upon delivery.
Extended Delivery Times: International shipments may take longer than domestic ones. Buyers should allow extra time for delivery and customs clearance when purchasing from sellers outside their country.
7. Return Shipping
For items eligible for return (as outlined in our Return Policy):
Return Shipping Labels: In some cases, Buy Gown will provide pre-paid return shipping labels. If not, buyers must arrange and cover the cost of return shipping.
Condition of Returned Items: Items must be returned in their original condition with all original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
8. Shipping Disputes
Lost or Damaged Packages: In the unlikely event of a lost or damaged package, buyers and sellers must cooperate with Buy Gown to provide documentation (photos, tracking details, etc.) to resolve the issue.
Failed Deliveries or Incorrect Addresses: If an item cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the buyer or refusal to accept the delivery, the buyer is responsible for any additional shipping costs incurred.
9. Buy Gown Direct Shipping (For Direct Sales)
Direct Sales Processing: For items sold directly to Buy Gown under the Buy Gown Direct program, Buy Gown will provide sellers with pre-paid, insured shipping labels. Sellers must package items securely and ship them within 3 business days of receiving the label.
Condition and Inspection: Upon receiving the item, Buy Gown will inspect it to ensure it meets the condition described in the agreement. If there are any discrepancies, Buy Gown reserves the right to adjust the payout or return the item to the seller at the seller’s expense.
